Description

A baby sleeping bag made from merino wool keeps little ones covered without feeling heavy. Sleep bags for toddlers also make night-time changes simpler and reduce disturbance.

Merino wool helps maintain even warmth as the room temperature changes. It moves moisture away from the skin and remains comfortable during sleep. This baby sleeping bag can be used from birth, with sizes available up to four years.

The soft knitted fabric lies gently against sensitive skin. If it becomes slightly damp, merino wool remains comfortable and retains its insulating properties. A damp garment should still be changed promptly, but the material helps keep the child comfortable until then.

Sleep bags for toddlers with practical details

Press studs at the lower back open the sleeping bag around the legs. Parents can change a nappy without fully undressing the baby, which is especially useful during the night.

The 0–6 month size has fold-over mittens at the sleeve ends. They help warm small hands and protect the face from accidental scratches. Larger sizes give growing toddlers room to sleep and move comfortably.

Merino wool sleep sack from birth

This merino wool sleep sack works for night-time sleep and periods during the day. Its simple shape keeps the arms and upper body comfortably enclosed.

Choosing the warmer option

  1. Bernadine Venter

I LOVE this, we have used it every day from since baby was 3.5 months old. We got the 6-12 month size and folded the sleeves until it fit. Just ordered the next size up. We have used it in all weather.

  2. Jamie

We love the grobags. We find out toddler wriggles around too much and was ending up cold around the 2am – 3am mark and waking up. The grobags moved with him keeping him warm.
Parents, grobags are really good thing for your baby!

FAQs

FAQs About Merino Wool

Does merino wool itch?

Most people find merino wool soft and comfortable against the skin. If your skin is very sensitive, merino wool blended with silk may feel even gentler.

Does merino wool keep you warm without overheating?

Yes. Merino wool helps regulate body temperature, keeping you comfortably warm while adapting to changes in activity and temperature.

Is merino wool suitable for sports?

Yes. Merino wool manages moisture well and feels comfortable during physical activity, making it a great choice for sports, hiking and everyday movement.

Does merino wool absorb odours?

Merino wool naturally resists odour build-up compared with many synthetic fabrics. Often, simply airing the garment is enough between wears.

How should merino clothing fit?

A merino base layer works best when worn close to the body. If you prefer a more relaxed look and feel, choose a looser-fitting style.

Can merino wool shrink?

Yes, merino wool may shrink if washed at too high a temperature or on an unsuitable cycle. Always follow the care instructions and avoid tumble drying.

Can merino wool be tumble dried?

No. We do not recommend tumble drying merino wool. For best results, allow the garment to dry naturally.

Can merino wool pill?

Some pilling may occur, especially when the fabric rubs against synthetic materials or rough surfaces. Any pills can be gently removed with a wool comb or fabric shaver suitable for wool.

What do OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and mulesing-free mean?

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances and is suitable for wearing close to the skin.
Mulesing-free means the wool comes from sheep that have not undergone the mulesing procedure, making it a more animal-friendly choice.

QUICK INFO

– Works best as a base layer
– Helps regulate heat and moisture.
Retains odors less than synthetics.
